Reinsurer-ILS platforms posted a mixed set of results for fee income in 2021, as some carriers maintained revenue while others were dented by falling assets under management (AuM).

But the current set of results will not fully represent the pressures on ILS platforms, given the drop-off in AuM towards the end of 2021 and the knock-on impact of loss of performance fees from last year’s portfolio.
